SaltburnArtistsProjects is a registered charity which has run the Saltburn Gallery, the adjoining Artists’ Studio Complex and an Arts Development Programme in Saltburn-by-the-Sea, since 1998.
About the Project
The Saltburn Gallery exhibits a wide variety of different art forms from a range of artists and aims to create an inspirational environment for artists, curators, educationalists and the community.
The Artists’ Studio Complex consists of 10 affordable studio spaces that are rented by professional artists and makers. The range of different artistic disciplines being practiced in the studios means that it is an exciting and creative place to work. New Faces...
Helen Welford is now Development Manager and Helen Jane Gaunt is Audience Development Coordinator. As well as their new roles within the organisation, they are both professional Artists with studios at Saltburn Artists’ Projects. Helen Welford specialises in drawing and painting. Helen Jane Gaunt is an artist, designer and illustrator, working with community groups on mosaics, murals and fire sculpture.

Exhibition runs from: 3rd July - 29th August
Artist Talk: 17th July 6 - 8 pm. Wine and cheese
Gallery Open: Wednesday – Sunday, 12noon – 4pm
Vincent James' sculptures and wall drawings are based on familiar and iconic objects appropriated from cartoons. Props dislocated from different animated worlds collide creating strange, funny and surreal interactions.
Children's Workshop Details
17th July 2010, 10am - 12noon and 2 - 4pm
Work with exhibiting artist Vincent James to create a colourful mural made from collaged cut-outs inspired by cartoon imagery and Vincent's exhibition. The mural will remain on display in Saltburn Artists' Projects for the duration of the exhibition.
